Atkins. Not a diet company.

15/10/2013

I wrote some stuff about my employer a year ago, around the time we were making much of our role in delivering London 2012. And now we're making noise about what we do generally, because we're focused on growing the company and recruitment is a challenge. Particularly, recruiting women into a profession that has never hugely appealed, in a country that barely acknowledges engineering as a profession. Worthless celebrity being a much more valid career choice.
The nice thing about this is that we've spent a few quid making some nice films about what Atkins represents. I sat with the guys who were engaged to produce some of this material a couple of weeks ago - and I think they've done rather a good job. This is the UK variant - there's also one to appeal to the international market, with an oddly neutral transatlantic accent.

Does it make me proud?  Well, yes. It does, actually.
