Perhaps not the most exciting thing to post about. But I am so delighted with my new purchase, I had to say something.
Moving into a new house, it was important to get the study up and running as quickly as possible. The rest of the house - mostly - is a mess of bare floorboards, exposed plaster from the rewire and, in stark contrast, lovely new windows - and it's about time I wrote some stuff about the whole move thing, perhaps I will this weekend.
Anyways... having converted what used to be my grandmother's kitchen many years ago into the study and purchased new desks for Al and me, I decided I had to have a new chair to replace the one I've been using for years, from IKEAs 'Cheapest Way to Kit Out an Office' range. It gave me backache. I ended up spending a vast amount of money on a chair I have never sat in, based entirely on internet research, design-lust and excitement at the stupidity of doing such a silly thing.
It turned up yesterday. I utterly love it. And, since I will often spend 10 hours a day in it, that's a lot of loving. In Bizon Terra Dark Brown Leather, Noir Stitching, Polished Aluminium Frame and Gel Arms in Matching Leather, I give you the award-winning Humanscale Freedom chair.
